1. Investigate cetacean, and the catches of sharks and rays in non-selective set-bag nets in or around the SONG MPA and southern edge of the Sundarbans Reserved Forest.
2. Investigate the catch and economic value of the set-bag fisheries from the SONG MPA at Dubla Island.
3. Investigate the presence and distribution of cetaceans, marine turtles, and human activities in or around the SONG MPA.
4. Enter the data after conducting daily field activities.
5. Conduct out any research work required in the field.
6. Clean the surveying equipment on a regular basis.

Completed Bachelor and Masters in Zoology (Fisheries) from the University of Dhaka. Obtained Ph D from Kagoshima University, Japan and did postdoc research in Japan and Germany. Attended more than 25 international and national training programs and workshops to update knowledge, skills and presented papers in over 20 International Conferences and Seminars (Australia, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Norway, UK, etc.). Teaches and undertake research related to natural resources, biodiversity, Marine Resources & blue economy, Ocean literacy, environmental management and planning including basic zoology and fisheries. Pioneer in DNA barcoding in Bangladesh & published more than 60 scientific articles. Serving as a professor of Zoology since 2010.
